Julia Blackburn has written seven books of non-fiction and two novels, both of which were shortlisted for the Orange Prize. Her new work, Threads: The Delicate Life of John Craske, is both a spellbinding search for an undiscovered genius, a Norfolk fisherman who became an artist, and an examination of personal grief and loss. This talk, like the book, will be illustrated. Julia Blackburn lives in Suffolk and Italy.
